So Fashion's Night Out started out with a trip to Nine West for breakfast for bloggers. They allowed us to pick out a pair of shoes for free! Spent almost an hour and a half trying to make a decision.

I had plans to go to Madewell to shop pieces from Alexa Chung's collaboration, but that meant I had to stand in a long line. No, no, no and kept walking. Everywhere was a stampede. Full of sloppy drunk people. I did have a great night though. Spotted Brad from Rachel Zoe's project and Erin Wasson. She is gorgeous!

So while everyone wore sequins and 5 inch heels, I wore my comfortable Bloch flats with
a sheer american apparel black blouse and skirt, zara blazer, marc jacobs bag, and a hat that my friend Monique gave to me!

She is wearing a vintage shirt, american apparel skirt, topshop flats, and coach bag.

So how was your weekend?

ReplyDeleteWent to Lord & Taylor to get my picture taken with Nigel Barker...Ooooh my god, the line! Wish I would have known about the Nine West Giveaway. I heard Chanel was giving away bracelets! Will be better prepared next year. I walked around with my Tory's...counldn't believe how many drunk, sloppy 5 inch heelers there were that night : )

I love that you went comfy and cute for Fashion Week events.
ReplyDeleteChicago had its first annual FNO events on Michigan Avenue. I'll do a post about the stores I got a chance to go to. The sales going on were pretty great too.

I steered clear of all FNO madness and just went out later. I don't like lines/crowds that much. The breakfast at Nine West sounds like it was an awesome experience, though. Meeting the man behind such a successful company must have been really cool. Love the shoes you picked out too! and you're so smart for wearing flats - can't tell you how many people were complaining of blisters on Saturday!
ReplyDeleteI actually just went into nine west to stare at the pair of shoes I'm super obsessed with! I am just waiting for that next pay check...

ReplyDeleteHi Delmy. My name is Sarita. Friends call me Sari. I just wanted to let you know that I admire your style and everything else you have to say. This may sound absurd to you, but I feel like I know you. You seem so real and genuine. A friend of mine met you at the IFB conference and she said you were breathtaking. I would love to someday meet you. I hope I am not coming across as a crazy fan. It's just there are so many fashion blogs, but yours is one that stands out because you include your family, you write about love and share your beauty secrets. I love that you are wearing flats and kept it casual for FNO and posted the photo. I am tired of girls putting up a front and always posting in heels when we know they wear flats most of the time. Okay, I will stop now. I hope you will read this and reply. You are amazing. Keep inspiring Delmy. Sari
