I barely shop for myself anymore, everything I shop for is for Gavin and now I'm getting more excited for Fall, because he'll be walking in his adorable new clothes! (fingers crossed, he's still not walking) But on one exhausting day, I decided to head over to the Women section and treat myself. One of the treats is this hat. I LOVE it. Perfect for Fall and my awkward "Rachel" hair.

Now lets talk about this new app called WEAR. It's a fashion community where people share their outfits of the day. I know, I know. You're probably like, "there's a million of those!" But no darling, this one is pretty cool. You can upload a photo of your look while adding the details on your oh so cool outfit, then the app will show you how others styled the items you wore. (We could all use a little inspiration.) You can also scan the pieces you love from your favorite store and shop from the app which is super easy. I just finished uploading my look at WEAR, go check it out and sign up. By sharing your look you may get the chance to have your look featured IN NYLON Magazine!

FALLING UP

Boots, scarves, hats, oversized sweaters, Fall is here! I always get excited for Fall. I love bundling up and feeling cozy, but Fall is not only about warm knits, it's also going from that Summer bubble gum pink nail polish to that Mauve shade. A few days ago I visited Julep and fell in love with all their colors. In this post I am wearing Josephine, It's like a grayish green. In my previous post I shared that I lost 5 pounds and this morning I received an email from a so called Nadine telling me : " I think it's hilarious that you're so happy because you lost 5 pounds. Girl you got at least 40 pounds to go to lose all that fat. Just telling you what others don't have the courage to tell you."
When I tried to reply to this individual the email no longer existed. Talk about a punk bitch. I admire so much more when you can share your opinion without hiding. Shows you got cojones. However, my message remains the same, IF YOU DON'T LIKE WHAT YOU SEE, KEEP IT MOVING. DO NOT MY VISIT FAT ASS.
First it started out with known bloggers leaving stupid comments on my blog and now the emails. So many of you claim that as women we should support one another and yet you're the same ones doing this same immature bullshit.

You're probably gonna hear this every time I get my ass into a new piece of clothing, but I'm excited because I can finally fit into my vintage leather skirt! I lost 5 pounds and I'm feeling pretty good about it. And the best thing about it is that I did it while still eating everything I like, just in moderation.

As soon I put this outfit together I said to myself I look like a little girl dressed for Easter.
But oh well, its all I had packed to wear for my birthday weekend in Atlantic City. And you know what? It's not so bad. :-)
On another note, while many of you are enjoying Fashion Week, I am enjoying my Mothers company. Yesterday her doctor told her that she no longer need to complete her last chemotherapy session and I am overwhelmed with joy. I know there is a lot to come now, as far as checkups and future surgery. (colon reverse) But I am just so happy I don't have to see her suffer through another chemotherapy. As of right now she is just resting and hoping to regain her appetite. Thank you guys so much for your concern and your support. As always I love ya'll to pieces!

Last weekend Kevin and I spent our labor day weekend and MY birthday weekend in Atlantic City. It's something we like doing every now and then. We wanted to take advantage of the nice weather and have Gavin experience the beach. He sure loved it and he ate a lot of sand. It was kind of inevitable. I thought he would find it disgusting and not try it again, but I was wrong.
So the reason for the post title "Real Family Photos" is because I think this is what it really looks like when you go to the beach with your family. There are a lot people that post very pretty photos of them having a good time with their family and I know behind the pretty photo there is a lot going on.
Don't get me wrong, I love the perfect pretty photos of their family. It's one of the reasons I follow them on Instagram. But for me, I just rather shoot imperfect memorable photos. Most of the times those are the best. Anyway, hope you enjoy mine.
