ROAD TRIP - NORTH CAROLINA

It is taking me forever to post these road trip photos, the holidays sure have me busy, not to mention Gavin. Anyway, After Kansas City, we woke up at 5am and drove about 15 hours to North Carolina to spend Thanksgiving with Kevin's family.
This was the drive I was dreading the most because I knew it would be the longest one. I mostly felt bad for Gavin, to be in the car seat for so long, poor baby. Of course we made a couple stops, let him run around, and he had his DVD on Daniel Tiger and Elmo to keep him entertained.
We arrived around 11pm. I was exhausted. Kevin stayed downstairs for a bit with his family and I went straight to bed with Gavin. The next morning I was in pain. My back was beat, I just wanted to stay in bed, then I did my usual morning routine, checked my phone and I see an e-mail from Kevin...
"Ah we finally made it. I can't tell you enough how strong my love is for
you. I'm so happy to have experienced this with you. I will always
cherish the memory. It's crazy, but I just drove forever and I feel so
relaxed. I'm so in love with you Delmy"
And just like that, it was the best morning.
KANSAS CITY - LAST DAY

Wearing: J.Crew mens shirt | Vintage fave leather skirt | Christian Louboutin pumps

pretty much spent this whole day with nieces, Cathy, Kailey and Kelsey. Gosh I miss them so much. Wish I would've taken pictures of them, but they didn't want to participate. You know the whole "I don't look good today"
Pretty much what every beautiful girl says. Well, I'm off to work on Gavin's Christmas list!

ROAD TRIP - KANSAS CITY

Family is important to me. Especially building a relationship with my nieces and nephews, that's why I use to visit Kansas City every year, sometimes two, but after having Gavin and my mom getting sick, life became too difficult to manage. When Kevin proposed this road trip, I wasn't really up for it, but when he mentioned we'd make a stop to visit my family, I was in. I only stayed for a day and a half, but it was the best day and a half.
My sweetest dearest niece Cathy treated Kevin and I for Brunch, which was very nice since it has always been me treating her haha. Gavin met a few of his cousins, he was very friendly despite that he's never met them. It was just all love.
I'm trying to go back in the Spring and spend at least a week with family. My main goal now is to get my whole family together with my Mami. I'd say it's all I want for Christmas.

ROAD TRIP - ST. LOUIS
12.07.2015
Wearing: J.Crew cardigan | Zara silk cami | Citizens of Humanity jeans | Topshop earrings -old | Prada booties

This was an unexpected stop. We were suppose to stay in Indianapolis for two days, but then we decided to get a head start and drive three hours to St. Louis so the drive to Kansas city would be shorter. The next morning we took advantage of the beautiful weather in St. Louis and had brunch at Rooster's Cafe and did our tourist thing for about 2 hours and then drove to see my family in Kansas city, Missouri.
By the way Gavin was such a trooper. I thought he was gonna be fussy, but he was such a good boy.

ROAD TRIP - INDIANAPOLIS
12.01.2015
We took Gavin to the world's largest Children's Museum. I have to admit, I was not looking forward to this road trip. It was overwhelming to just think about all the stops we had to make, but seeing all the fun that Gavin had made it all worth it. It sounds cliche, but it's true. When I see him smile, my mood completely changes.
Anyway, if you happen to visit Indianapolis, take your little ones to The Children's Museum. There is so much to do, I guarantee they'll love it and so will you.
Also you must have brunch at Good Morning Mama's. I had the best Coffee flavored french toast, Kevin said it was his best french toast ever, and Gavin had french toast as well with a side of bacon, and judging from his clean plate, I'm sure it was his best too.
Thank you Indianapolis for having us! It was a pleasure and we'll be back soon.
